Did you know that SCAR is organised by the Skibbereen Lions Club? Our mission is to serve communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs. Lions Club International is the world’s largest service club organisation with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries, around the world.

Representatives of SCAR (Skibbereen Charity Adventure Race) and Carbery,
presented a cheque for €8,000 to Kate Roberts of Pieta House.
Your registration fee – all of it – for SCAR goes to the Skibbereen Lions Club who donate much needed monies to local registered charities and local worthy causes. In the past 12 years we have donated thousands of euro to the following in West Cork:
